Jamestown


Jamestown is known to be the county seat of Stutsman which is an important county of North Dakota. Founded in the year 1872, this city is the 7th largest city of North Dakota. Jamestown has a population density of 481.5km square. People from various races inhabit this place and they include Whites, African American, Asians, Native Americans, as well as Pacific Islanders.

Education in Jamestown is very important as it is important in other parts of the world. There are various schools in Jamestown which are a part of the Jamestown Public Schools System. Under this system there are various subdivisions such as the elementary schools, middle schools, high schools as well as alternative high schools.
One of the famous elementary school in Jamestown is Louis L'Amour Elementary School. This schools has been named after one of the famous writers born in Jamestown, Louis L'Amour. The culture of Jamestown is extremely popular in North Dakota. In this city you will find one of the largest cement statues known as the World's Largest Buffalo. This statue is situated in one of the major attractions of Jamestown known as the Frontier Village. The statue is so big that it overlooks the whole city. Other than this there is a museum here known as the National Buffalo Museum. An important part of the culture of Jamestown is Jamestown Art Center and the Jamestown College. Various programs are held here with the help of local artists.

In Jamestown you will find the Jamestown Reservoir and the James River. The James River is also an attraction here because it is the longest non navigable river in the world.
