Established by the Cass County Historical Society, in 1976 Bonanzaville comprise of forty-seven buildings on a sprawling twelve acre area. The historic buildings have been shifted to the museum ground forming a rural heritage setting. The buildings embody distinct themes. The chief displays in Bonanzaville are a general store, log cabin, a train depot, a bonanza farm, a fire station, prairie church, a schoolhouse and a jail. The buildings are beautifully decorated with period furniture and artifacts. The aircraft museum and the automobile museum are the primary attractions. Several hundred thousand artifacts are in display in the museums. The Aircraft Museum and the Automobile Musuem preserve and display variety of antique airplanes, automobiles and fire engines.
