North Dakota Museum of Art

North Dakota Museum of Art situated in the campus of North Dakota University, Grand Forks is one of the popular art museums in North Dakota. North Dakota Museum of Art was established in 1970s. It was known as University of North Dakota Art Galleries. The museum was conferred the status of official Art Museum of North Dakota by North Dakota Legislative Assembly in 1981. The museum underwent reconstruction in 1989. The 1907 West Gymnasium on the UND campus was restructured. The permanent art collection of North Dakota Museum of Art includes a host of contemporary native Americana arts and international arts.
