Plains Art Museum is a fine arts museum in the business district of Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota. The museum is well known for its contemporary and historical art collection from the Northern Plains states of North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Minnesota and the Canadian states of Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The museum was established in 1965 in the former Moorhead, Minnesota Post Office as in the Red River Art Center. The museum was named as Plains Art Museum in 1975.
