The Roger Maris Museum

The Roger Maris Museum is a spectacular museum in West Acres Shopping center at Fargo in North Dakota. The Museum was established to commemorate the accomplishments made by American baseball player Roger Eugene Maris. Every detail related to Roger Maris can be explored in the Roger Maris Museum. Roger Maris earned international recognition for his sixty one home runs in 1961. Truly a shrine of the outfielder Roger Maris, the Roger Maris Museum pays a great homage to this baseball genius. The Roger Maris Museum was renovated by the West Acres in 2003. Pat Maris and other members of the Maris family along with Jim McLaughlin the founder of the musuem inaugurated the new museum. The reconstructed Roger Maris Museum museum resembled a unique look with glass facades, brilliant light displays and ample ventilation facilities in order to display and preserve the artifacts in a better way. A video room has been established. There are exhaustive video collections displaying the memorable events in Roger Maris' life. There is a replica model of Roger's Yankee Stadium Monument and Roger's 1961 locker. The museum halls are decked up with collection from Roger's Major League playing days. His game uniforms, home run balls, bats, wards, batches, plaques, portraits, memorabilia and his Sultan of Swat Crowns are displayed in the various halls of Roger Maris Museum.
