Located near downtown business district, within the campus of the North Dakota State University, Fargo, the Fargodome is one of the largest hub of entertainment and recreation in North Dakota. Although merely fifteen years old, the Fargodome is an instance of the love for art and music in Fargo, the largest city in North Dakota. Drawing crowds from all over the state, Fargodome has hosted many music shows, Broadway musicals, dance performances, plays and theaters, sporting events, fairs, exhibitions, trade shows, thus providing a boost to the local economy.

Much of the crowd is drawn from the University campus, as the building is situated on 1800 North University Drive. Created by the Sink, Combs, Dethlefs, in coordination with the City of Fargo, Fargodome can accommodate more than 19,000 people for football games and more than 25,000 people for concert shows. This is possible for the fact that Fargodome boasts of a movable riser, weighing 33 tons and adds 21 rows, thus adjusting the size of the arena as per needs. This remarkable characteristic was designed by the Dant Clayton Corp.
The business hours for the box office is from 10:00am to 5pm, from Monday through Friday. It also offers special accommodations to its guests and artists. Some of the upcoming Broadway shows are "Peter Pan", scheduled in October 2007, Michael Flatley's "Lord of the Dance" in February 2008 and "Annie" in April 2008. The Exhibition hall in Fargodome boasts of being the largest in North Dakota. There are plans undergoing in fact of extending the seating capacity of the stadium.
No wonder Fargodome is cited as one of the major tourist spots in North Dakota. Adding to the growth in the commercial activities in the region, Fargodome has given a major boost to social, cultural and economic life in the city.
